About this book
Have you ever experienced coincidences that cannot be logically explained?
This book helps the readers understand the meaning of synchronicity,
or remarkable coincidences in people's lives. This work not only explains the mystery of synchronicity, originally introduced by Carl Jung,
but it also shows how to make simple calculations to estimate the chances that coincidences are not due to mere randomness.
The reader will learn how to prove that the coincidences in their lives have meaning, rather than being a 'fluke' of pure luck.
By showing that the role of chance in such phenomena is unlikely, it uniquely connects the synchronicity phenomenon with the questions of the Universe's origin, biological evolution, quantum mechanics, elementary particles and with the incredible beauty of the laws of nature.
The book demonstrates that our world cannot be viewed as purely materialistic, defined by randomness, cause-and-effect chains and social behavior.
Where science does not provide definitive answers, this book offers explanations based on the idea of our consciousness's connection to the fundamental informational reality that shapes the events and processes of our world.
It argues that everything we know about the Universe is fully compatible with the existence of God.
About the author
The author of the book, Dr. S.V. Chekanov, dedicated 30 years to high-energy physics, studying the creation of the smallest and most fundamental particles that comprise all matter. He has published over 200 professional articles, many of which are based on data analysis obtained at multinational particle accelerators at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) and DESY (German Electron Synchrotron). Dr. S.Chekanov is also the author of two books on scientific data analysis.
He contributed to Standard Model measurements and led a group of scientists measuring photons (light quanta) at the highest energy ever created in particle accelerators. In recent years, Dr. S. V. Chekanov has coordinated the search for new particles beyond the Standard Model at the Large Hadron Collider (CERN) using artificial intelligence and deep neural networks.

Book reviews
When coincidence meets meaning: unveiling the creator of the universe via an exploration of synchronicity ...
Exceptionally fascinating and interesting! This book dwells on planes of thought much above the ordinary and hence,
isn’t a book for everyone. However, I think the right audience will find it simply gripping! ... Additionally, it has content to spark new ideas for sci-fi filmmakers and writers that blended with their own, might result in the production of new, spellbinding movies or books. Hence, I recommend it to them as well.

I met my friend Sergei several years ago when we began working on the encyclosphere together. I was delighted to learn he had written this book. He introduced me to the Pauli-Jung conjecture and the concept of synchronicity, and his exploration of these ideas is deeply fascinating. While Sergei's spiritual journey and his understanding of the divine differ from my own Christian faith, I believe he is on to something profound and potentially groundbreaking in this work.
— Tim Chambers, former Deputy Director of the Knowledge Standard Foundation —
I was a fun of Carl Jung's work on synchronicity. I knew that strange coincidences happen to people but I could not make any reasonable estimate of how unlikely such events are. For the first time, this work offers a method to estimate unlikeliness of such events. It proves the existence of this phenomenon! This book lays out the scientific foundation of idealism. It gives hope to all of us... Bravo!
— Tania Smaltsar (MD, Ermislearn CEO/Executive Director) —
This book immediately caught my interest with its intriguing title and visually appealing cover, and I was excited to see how it would explore the nature of information, reality, and existence. Dr. Sergei V. Chekanov takes a "deep" dive into scientific, philosophical, and computational perspectives, making for a thought-provoking read.
What I appreciated most is how the book challenges traditional views and presents a unique framework for understanding how information shapes our world. Chekanov introduces complex topics related to quantum mechanics, computation, and the philosophy of information, but in a way that feels engaging rather than too overly academic. The writing encourages curiosity and critical thinking, making this a book that doesn’t just present ideas—it makes you question what you think you know. It really does.
One of the most intriguing parts was how the book ties quantum physics, artificial intelligence, and computational theory together, suggesting that reality itself might function like an information-processing system. Even as someone who doesn’t usually read books on this topic, I found myself drawn in by the way Chekanov connects these ideas to the nature of consciousness, perception, and the future of technology. These particular subjects are a passion of mine and to find a completely "new" way of view them has me in awe.
That said, some sections could have been expanded for clarity, especially for readers who are new to concepts like information theory and its relation to the physical world, like me. While the book is highly engaging, certain ideas feel like they scratch the surface rather than fully explore their implications.
Rating: 4.6/5: For beginners like myself, this book makes abstract scientific and philosophical ideas more accessible than expected. If you enjoy books that push the boundaries of science, philosophy, and consciousness, this one is worth checking out. It doesn’t claim to have all the answers, but it will definitely leave you with new questions—which, to me, is the sign of a book that truly makes an impact.

Thought-Provoking and Educational — A Journey with Information Toward Consciousness and Meaning:
I found Sergei Chekanov’s The Designed World of Information a wonderful book that takes an interdisciplinary approach, challenging conventional worldviews and proposing an alternative paradigm grounded in information, consciousness, and design.
The 350+ page-long book was very educational for me as I learned many new ideas, thoroughly enjoyed many fascinating quotes, studies, and calculations about information, philosophy, and natural laws that govern our universe.
As a senior scientist himself, Sergei draws concepts extensively from physics and strengthens his argument with quantitative reasoning from his own particle physics research methodologies, probability theory, and metaphysical insights from deep personal experiences.
He argues personal coincidences sometimes carry meaning beyond random chances. Sergei presents numerical approaches (many probability calculations) to quantify the improbability of synchronicity, suggesting that rare coincidences reflect deeper informational order rather than chaos. Information, in his view, is more fundamental than matter and arises from consciousness, not from nothing. He argues that, simplest meaningful information is unlikely to be derived from random selections and to produce new information, a blueprint with some rule/plan is needed.
I appreciated how he discussed why complex numbers are more fundamental than real numbers (as widely used in quantum mechanics & many other fields of physics) and why abstract ideas can both explain and influence our reality. Sergei challenges materialistic explanations of emergence, suggesting instead that there is an underlying structure and purpose behind everything.
He also critiques several popular scientific “theories” by citing credible studies and highlighting their limitations. Some of the chapters towards the end of the book explore ideas that echo Einstein’s famous statement, "There are no laws without a lawgiver", among other similar reflections. The book concluded by clarifying that the purpose of the book was not to support a specific God-hypothesis, but to call out the arbitrary manipulation of scientific methods by some to deny the existence of God.
Though I must share, while many of the ideas are thought-provoking, some of them lean toward speculation. Still, I personally found the book both educational and inspiring as it invites readers to delve into deep thoughts about information, consciousness, and philosophies about purposeful designs and our existence. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in these topics.
— Wasikul Islam, (Ph.D., a particle physicist) —
There are many books that claim to prove the existence of God through the fine-tuning of the universe. Such arguments can be refuted by science. However, there is only one book I know, "The Designed World of Information" (2024) by Chekanov, that argues we live in the presence of God without relying on fine-tuning. It estimates the extremely small statistical probability that history - and your own life, as you know it - is filled with unusual synchronicity events (or coincidences) that go beyond randomness and social behavior.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this book prove Carl Jung’s concept of synchronicity?
Yes. Unlike many books on this subject, “The Designed World of Information” approaches synchronicity from a statistical perspective. It presents a method for evaluating meaningful coincidences under reasonable scientific assumptions and argues that synchronicity can be understood as a real and measurable phenomenon.
Is this the only book that offers proof of synchronicity?
To the best of our knowledge, there is no other book that approaches synchronicity in quite this way—combining statistical reasoning with philosophical interpretation to argue for its objective reality.
Does this book prove that God exists?
The book argues that the existence of God is the most plausible explanation for the world we observe. It builds this argument using analysis of synchronicity and patterns observed in science.
Many books discuss God as the origin of life and events of the distant past, but they struggle to argue that God is also an active participant in the present. This book suggests that synchronicity is precisely the phenomenon that indicates His presence in the present, while He exists beyond time itself.
Is this a scientific or a spiritual book?
It is something beyond either category. The book does not follow the scientific method, yet it is deeply rooted in scientific knowledge, particularly in mathematics. It interprets scientific observations to explore deeper meaning.
At the same time, it differs from traditional spiritual or religious texts. Where there is belief, there is also room for doubt. Religion offers a particular space for free will, which is one reason it remains so compelling for society.
This book gives understanding through interpretation of current knowledge. Rather than asking for belief or trust based on the authority of historical accounts, it seeks to provide a reasoned perspective — bridging the gap between science and the unknown.
Why is this book not widely advertised?
Because of the reasons described above—this is intentional. According to the author’s perspective, certain knowledge should not be universally imposed or aggressively promoted. The book argues that if ultimate truths were made undeniable and academically provable to everyone, it could diminish the role of free will—the very condition that gives meaning to human existence. Unlike religious belief systems, which allow for choice and doubt, complete understanding and certainty may reduce the space for free will, which is why this world exists.
For this reason, the book is meant to be discovered. It is written for readers who actively seek deeper understanding—those who are willing to engage with concepts from science, mathematics, and philosophy.
Do you work with agents or promotion companies?
No—for the same reasons. The book is not intended for mass marketing; it is meant to reach those who are genuinely searching for meaning and understanding.
However, if you independently create and share thoughtful content about the book—such as an article or a meaningful social media post—we are open to offering reasonable compensation for your effort.
